This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in skilled operations and team leading or supervision. Work would be undertaken in various hospitality settings such as restaurants, hotels, motels, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops.

A Certificate IV in Hospitality reflects the role of the Supervisor/Team Leader in any functional area. This course aims to provide the participant with supervisory and entry level management skills for the hospitality industry, and allows students to progress more rapidly once they have gained appropriate experience, using theory and practical training and assessment methods to provide participants with the skills, knowledge and attitudes to meet the demands of the hospitality industry. Offering an opportunity to build more sophisticated technical applications involving competencies requiring increased theoretical knowledge, applied in a nonroutine environment and which may involve team leadership and management and increased responsibility for outcomes.
