BSBCRT511 Develop critical thinking in others

This unit covers the skills and knowledge that can help you develop creative and critical thinking skills in others needed in the workplace.

This unit best applies to individuals responsible for leading teams, which includes developing and coaching others.

BSBFIN501 Manage budgets and financial plans

In this unit, you’ll gain the skills and knowledge required for financial management in an organisation. It includes planning, implementing, and evaluating financial management strategies and processes.

The unit applies to managers whose responsibility is for the effective use of financial resources within their teams, ensuring that they are in line with the financial objectives of the organisation.

BSBOPS501 Manage business resources

In business, you need to manage business resources according to planned strategies. This unit helps you develop skills and knowledge in analysing resource requirements and allocating them based on plans, and reviewing and reporting on resource utilization.

BSBSUS511 Develop workplace policies and procedures for sustainability

In this unit, you learn about the skills and knowledge applicable to developing and implementing workplace sustainability policies. You gain broad understanding of working and engaging with various relevant stakeholders and specialists to help the organisation minimize its social, economic, and environmental impact while creating value for the stakeholders.

BSBXCM501 Lead communication in the workplace

This unit focuses on developing the skills and knowledge that team leaders need for communication in the workplace within any industry, as they are responsible for developing or managing other workers.

Once you’ve completed the core units, you can proceed with the electives to broaden your skills and knowledge. The electives allow you to specialize in specific skills that can help you get more valued responsibilities in your professional career and increase your knowledge approach to how businesses operate.

This unit covers managing all aspects of recruitment and onboarding processes in an organisation, ensuring that they are in line with company policies and procedures.

BSBOPS504 Manage business risk

In this unit, you can develop the skills and knowledge suitable for managing business risks in various contexts. It helps you gain fundamental understanding of the risks across an organisation or for a specific business unit.

BSBPMG430 Undertake project work

This unit teaches you how to undertake a minor project or a section of a larger project. You’ll gain knowledge and skills required to develop a project plan, implement and monitor the project, finalise the project, and review the project results. It includes meeting project timelines, following quality standards, and creating budgets.

BSBPEF501 Manage personal and professional development

This unit covers implementing systems and processes that support the personal and professional development of self and others.

It applies to a broad range of managerial roles where you are accountable for the performance of others and their development for team effectiveness.

BSBSTR502 Facilitate continuous improvement

In this unit, you’ll learn how to lead and effectively manage continuous improvement systems and processes. Specifically, it focuses on developing systems to monitor and adjust performance strategies and manage opportunities for further improvements.

This unit prepares you to take an active role in managing improvement processes to help achieve organisational objectives and business success. It covers complex and diverse methods and procedures for problem-solving and decision-making strategies.

BSBMKG541 Identify and evaluate marketing opportunities

This unit teaches you the skills and knowledge necessary to identify and take advantage of marketing opportunities. That includes how to analyze market data, determine possible markets, and assess viable changes to business operations.

This unit prepares you for a supervisory or management role in marketing and advertising.

BSBCMM411 Make Presentations 

This unit teaches you how to prepare, deliver and review presentations for various audiences. It also covers the skills and knowledge that can help you develop communication abilities, particularly in presenting concepts and ideas.

Course fees and payment plans

The Diploma of Business at Prestige Service Training costs $2,499.

We offer manageable tuition fees payment plans that suit your budget: 

  • 2 equal instalments (50% at commencement and 50% within the first 10 months of commencement)
  • 10 monthly payments 
  • 20 fortnightly payments

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Can you get course credit for previous experience? Yes, you may earn the BSB50120 Diploma of Business through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

You may be eligible to receive a Diploma of Business if you possess substantial experience and based on other training you have completed—and you could do it without taking any additional study!

RPL is available on most Prestige Service Training qualifications. If you have completed formal or informal training and have knowledge, skills, and employment experience in this area, you may apply for RPL.

All you have to do is provide evidence to support your application process, and our Operations team will assist you through the RPL assessment.

Credit is also available for this qualification. If you have completed a previous study in this qualification or an equivalent, you can provide a copy of your transcript/s from your earlier study, and we will conduct a credit assessment.
